Flight Delay Claims

Our flight delay products are only available through solicitors or Claims Management Companies in the UK.  If you have flown in the past six years and your flight was either delayed or cancelled, you may be entitled to claim flight delay compensation of up to €600 under EU law. We now offer ATE Insurance to cover all proceedings taken by solicitors seeking flight delay compensation for their clients.

Our flight delay ATE product is designed around the solicitors’ or CMC’s requirements on delegated authority and full integration with ProClaim.

Bespoke ATE

We provide bespoke and exclusive After The Event Insurance policies for all types of claims – from financial claims to personal injury claims.

With our bespoke offering – we typically look at volume/book transfers of business, rather than individual cases.  For example, if you have an idea that you want to turn into a concept and an ATE product – we can help you do this under a strict non-disclosure agreement.

Our bespoke offering can be set up for you on our cloud based ‘VUE’ platform and fully integrated into your case management software for ease of use.

Minimal Reporting for all Bespoke ATE Insurance Policies

You only need to tell us when you win, lose or are issuing proceedings. And you do it with just the click of an online button via our online platform VUE – or let us set up your case management system to do it for you automatically. So that’s it – there’s nothing else to report. You do not have to get permission to incur any disbursement or to take any step.

This means you are free to concentrate on what you do best, handling files.

No Prospects of Success Test

Other ATE Insurers may demand that a case always has reasonable prospects. This is just an excuse not to pay when you make a claim, so we’ve removed it from our ATE Insurance policy conditions. If you are spending your valuable time on a case, the ATE policy will support your decisions. Pretty well a delegated authority.

Straightforward ATE Insurance Cancellations

If the ATE Insurance Policy premium is no longer required, you can cancel the ATE Insurance Policy for various reasons without charge. Typical reasons are:

  • The client ceases to provide instructions
  • You believe the claim is unlikely to succeed

This means that there is no risk that you or your client will ever have to pay the ATE insurance premium unless it is required.

Part 36 Cover

If your client fails to beat a Part 36 offer, your disbursements and all adverse costs are paid in full by the After the Event Insurance policy (instead of being deducted from your own costs). And there’s no need to liaise with us about making, rejecting or accepting a Part 36 offer – that’s a decision for you and your client.

We recommend that you check other ATE Insurance Provider’s terms and conditions to see if they match this.
